About Cody Pet Hospital

Our Norfolk veterinarians put your pet first.

Our mission at Cody Pet Hospital (formerly Whispering Pines) is to provide veterinary services to our patients and clients which are unmatched at other practices. Specifically, our practice believes in treating each patient as a member of the client’s family. Our vets and staff members strive to offer a friendly environment, quality medicine, thorough client education, and emotional support for all your important decisions.

We are a small animal vet and treat cats and dogs. We emphasize wellness care, preventive medicine, quality of life, and pain management. We are the only animal hospital in Norfolk MA. We serve the communities of Norfolk, Wrentham, Foxboro, and Walpole in addition to Franklin, Norwood, Plainville, and the surrounding towns.

We’re one big family at Cody Pet Hospital!

Kate Pillsbury, DVM

Dr. Pillsbury is a 1991 graduate of Tufts Veterinary School. Prior to Veterinary School she received a B.S. in Biology from Middlebury College and a Master’s in marine biology from the University of Miami. Dr. Pillsbury opened up Whispering Pines Animal Hospital with a total of 30 clients in 1996. The practice grew over the years and then expanded to a second location on Rte 1 in Walpole in 2008. This second location was called Cody Pet Hospital. We had two locations for five years, but finally decided it would be best to consolidate. In May of 2013 we merged the two practices keeping the name Cody Pet Hospital and the single location of 5 Sharon Ave in Norfolk. We feel lucky at Cody Pet in that we have many customers who have been with us since we opened!

Dr. Pillsbury feels that pets play an important role in the family. She does wellness exams, diagnostics, medicine, hospitalization, surgery, anesthesia, and dentistry. She takes care of all life stages from puppies and kittens to adult pets to geriatric.

Dr. Pillsbury lives in Wrentham with her husband and pets. They have two married adult children, three grandchildren and many grand dogs. Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Pillsbury likes the outdoors, sprint triathlons, and water and snow sports.

Our Staff

We have a very talented and experienced technical staff at Cody Pet Hospital. Kelly Bosh, our office manager has two very important roles. She is our office manager and keeps our entire hospital running smoothly. She is also the primary receptionist and will most likely be the person on the other end of the phone when you call us. We are lucky that Kelly celebrated her 19th year with us in September 2020.

Kelly, Karen, Katie, and Alicia complete our staff. Karen is our friendly, bright, and happy receptionist! Alicia is our veterinary technician and helps out in surgery and anesthesia and also with appointments. Katie is working as a veterinary assistant while going to school to be a certified vet tech.
